Capitalism once again shows that it drags the government behind it. While NASA struggles to get a rocket into the sky, Virgin Galactic is taking us into the future. Space Ship Two is another example of the agility and drive of the private market. The ultimate goal for Space Ship Two is to provide passenger space travel by 2011.

Flying into space has been a childhood dream for myself and many others. For the right price, the dream can come true. With NASA becoming impotent for the next ten years, the VSS Enterprise may be a dream come true for them. Expect Virgin Galactic to save astronauts in the tin can International Space Station. As history has proven, eventually NASA will be feeding from the teet of Virgin Galactic. All major successes of NASA programs have capitalism as their driving force. The only thing the government did was create the demand for the product. The product itself was brought to life by corporate talent.

It is no surprise that the ship is named, VSS Enterprise. Success takes an enterprise, not a government.
