Illegal immigrants should be proud. Citizens of Vegas are pulling a Houdini and getting the heck out of town. The reason is obvious. To play, you have to pay. People have less disposable income as more jobs are lost and the economy continues to implode. Folks are not spending their money in Vegas. According to the news reports, the financial evacuation of Vegas would be higher were it not for people unable to sell their properties. Vegas has suffered greatly from an upside down real estate market, too.
While people make up their own minds about vacations, the President’s bad talk about Vegas in the past does not inspire confidence. Confident Americans spend money when they know they can recover or re-earn the money they have spent. If Americans think their earning potential is lowered, they will save and not spend.
Don’t count on Generation X Americans being comfortable in spending greatly. They saw the implosion of 2008 shrink their 401K security blanket. Gen X will have to save considerably more as the dollar contracts in value. Baby boomers will hold on to their pennies, too. They have healthcare on the brain and know that if ObamaCare survives, medical tourism will be the only way to keep them alive. Generation Y didn’t have a pot-to-pee in anyway, so they don’t matter. Generation Y will become Generation whY? as they see what little they earn gobbled by ObamaCare taxes and suppressed wages from a stagnant economy. No one wants to spend anymore.
Only our government acts as if it has any money. After all, only the government can print money. The government is increasing our national debt to the point that within five years, we will be paying more on interest payments for debt without paying principle. No family could survive on a budget formula like that and would more than likely end up filing bankruptcy. If this is true, then why is our country not bankrupt? It is. Debt is not wealth, it is bondage. America is in bondage.
The only thing keeping things afloat is the illusion that the American dollar is like gold and has intrinsic value. The game played is as more money is printed, more money is in play. That sounds alto like a game of Monopoly where the actual value of money is subject to the rules of the game. Sounds like a game that people in Vegas would play, doesn’t it? Washington and Vegas are both gambling towns. Obviously there is only room enough for one gambling addict at the table.
It seems the only way that Vegas can survive is if Washington can convince enough Americans that their Monopoly money (US Dollar) is worth the game.

The North Carolina Shred the IRS Tax Code event occurred on August 21, 2010 at the North Carolina State Fair Grounds. Several FairTax congressional candidates were present. If you were unable to make it, check out this video of the event.
The bottom line is:
The FairTax is the only tax that replaces the income tax.
The FairTax will create jobs.
The FairTax will bring power back to the taxpayer.

There is a lot of chatter about Al Sharpton’s latest pulpit rant. He declared that social justice will not be a reality until everything is equal in everybody’s house.
“The struggle is not over until we achieve equality. … [Martin Luther King's] dream was not to put one black family in the White House. The dream was to make everything equal in everybody’s house.”
Besides being a brilliantly foolish statement, the words are a play on the emotions of people. This verbal rant is an attempt to strangle guilt out of people who are not in his “streets.” For those in the streets, this type of talk inspires anger, hostility, entitlement and prejudice toward everyone else. Worst of all, these vulgarities were spewed in the House of God. Sharpton might as well as slapped Jesus in the face with Hitler’s, Mein Kempf.
First of all, Sharpton spews this idea of “social justice” as if it is congruent to the concept of being “created equal” by the endowment of God. We are all created the same, but what we do with our lives will not be the same. For example, the Parable of the Sowers. Those who use resources wisely will receive more from God. Those who do nothing with what they are given will receive the same.
Deuteronomy 15:11 says “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.” Is this scripture endorsing social justice (aka Socialism)? No. In order to be a giver, a person must first receive. God commands us to give to the poor and needy out of the overflow and abundance of what we earn and produce. Ephesians 4:28 further reinforces this point: “He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.” Note the word, share. The scripture does not say “…performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will give equally to everyone else.”
The religion of Socialism believes the human condition can be perfected and corrected by the State. Yet, in the examples above we see that God teaches us to work hard so we provide for our needs, and assist others in need. If social justice (making everything equal in everyone’s house) was a directive of the Bible, God would have instructed us to live this way. Instead, the Bible teaches us that the laborer is worth his wages (1Tim5:18) and will not eat unless he works (2Thessalonians3:10).
The Bible does not support the secular ideas of theft and redistribution of money by the state. Personal property rights are clearly supported in Mathew 20:15: “Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?”
Sharpton probably has Mathew 6:21 cut out of his own personal Bible. It states, “…where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Clearly, his heart does not have room for honoring debts and paying taxes. With over $1.5 million in unpaid taxes/penalties, Sharpton and his business ventures are being chased by the IRS and New York State tax agents. Like the honorable Reverend he is, Sharpton’s response to the unpaid taxes “…reflected a political agenda by United States agencies.” You are right about that, Al. The tax man is taking from your house to make everything equal in everyone’s house. This is known as the political agenda of social justice. Sound familiar?
Lets make thing equal around here, Mr. Al. How about you pay those taxes so your neighbors in the streets can become more equal? Maybe when you become an equally responsible person like the rest of us, we can have a conversation about the true source of generosity: God, not the state.

“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” — Proverbs 22:7
Obama and the Democrats clearly desire to put America in financial bondage, first to the government and then second to the world. Obama’s latest budget puts all of us in shackles of servitude by borrowing over 40% of money spent – just this year. This reckless borrowing demonstrates a level of irresponsibility that rises to the level of intentional deviance.
The overly aggressive hostile takeover of our healthcare by Democrats can only be explained as a lynching. Despite the public’s objection to this imprisonment, Congress is taking us by force and strangling our freedoms on the branches of the tree. While we watch the crosses burn in our yards, the race of the middle-class will be threatened and quietly slaughtered in the dark of night.
Is America still a nation of slaves? If we lay down and let this all happen, the answer is yes. The government will be our masters; and, all races will be the slaves singing “Free at last; free at last; thank God Almighty we are free at last.” Salvation from government will be our dying creed.
President Obama’s Budget
-Would permanently expand the federal government by 3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) over 2007 pre-recession levels;
-Would raise taxes on all Americans by nearly $3 trillion over the next decade;
-Would raise taxes for 3.2 million small businesses and upper-income taxpayers by an average of $300,000 over the next decade;
-Would borrow 42 cents for each dollar spent in 2010;
-Would run a $1.6 trillion deficit in 2010–$143 billion higher than the recession-driven 2009 deficit;
-Would leave permanent deficits that top $1 trillion as late as 2020;
-Would dump an additional $74,000 per household of debt into the laps of our children and grandchildren; and
-Would double the publicly held national debt to over $18 trillion.

Back in May of 2009, Oprah and the folks at KFC gave away free chicken. Oprah-bama did not anticipate the generous concept resulting into a feeding frenzy that left few feeling “…finger looking good.” This situation clearly exposes how socialized medicine (Obamacare) will not work and will ultimately hurt those who need it the most.
When KFC gave away chicken for the public good, the restaurants quickly found that it could not meet the demand forced upon it. Many KFC locations ran out of chicken and quickly closed their doors. KFC stopped the bleeding by ending the giveaway. Like KFC, a national flood of people into the healthcare system would choke it beyond capacity. Hospitals and clinics would not have the ability to serve all who stood in line. “First in line, first to live” would be the unofficial slogan for Obamacare.
The first major problem for ObamaCare is the exodus of medical professionals from the profession, mainly physicians. Doctors will not tolerate being told how to practice medicine. If you do not believe this is true, do a search for how many doctors from America practice in Canada and Europe because they desire government oversight. You will not find many, if any. Likewise, other supportive personnel such as nurses and other ancillary staff do not want more government manipulation of their practice.
Those of us in the medical community who have worked with doctors, understand and appreciate their talents and hard work. These people are intelligent and spent many years in school refining the skills needed to save lives. The more valuable the talent, the higher the MD compensation. Not everyone can conduct a cardiac catherization and remove an acute blockage from a heart artery.
As I have stated in a previous post, I have no problem with doctors making tons of money saving my life. My life is valuable enough to me, that any price is worth the cost. When government dictates the value of medical care and salaries of doctors, then the value of my life is reduced likewise. In other words, I want my doctor to make a million a year saving lives, because my life is worth a million dollars to me and my family. If you believe doctors should not make very much, then that is exactly what your life is worth – not very much.
In the medical community, there is a plethora of studies that argue the inequitable suffering of African Americans, other minorities and the elderly in the current American medical system. The solution prescribes treating health care as a shared public good, instead of a valuable commodity. However, lowering healthcare to the level of a public good nullifies its value. When everyone could get free chicken from KFC, then no one could have chicken because the value was lowered to nothing. African Americans will be stood up again in doctor’s offices and hospitals around the US when their care is worth nothing.
