For months now, Americans have been infuriated that 9-11 terrorist suspects may be tried in New York City. Not only is this in poor taste, but it places havoc in a city that already does not sleep. In a revolation, apparantly Obama has asked for Eric Holder to investigate other areas to try and convict the terrorists. Maybe, Obama is trying to save face? Forget it, it is too late for that.
In a bold move, Republicans are trying to block Federal funds to pay for the 9-11 trials if they are held in New York City. I didn’t know they had it in them, and I would not expect more. The whole entire Congress needs a reset button, no matter which party they claim obedience.
This is another example of how Obama has shown Americans just how idiotic he really is. No one with any sensitivity to NYC would even think of putting a terrorist trial there. If the slow revamping of Manhattan is not enough of a reminder, I do not know what is. Obama just does not understand that the World Trade Center site is sacred and hallowed ground. Placing a terrorist anywhere close to that area is an insult to those who died there. Even if Holder does not have the trial in NYC, Obama’s cowardly message has already been sent. Obama’s actions are like daggars in the hearts of the victims of 9-11-2001.

Unlike our cowardly President and others afflicted with the “blame America first” syndrome, I am proud to see another vessel in the US Navy forged for our defense. I can not think of any better way to honor the fallen than to forge the bow of the ship with steel from the World Trade Center. Below is an explanation of the symbolism in the ship’s crest.
Many will forget. Many have forgotten. Like those who neglect the honor of the fallen, thanks be to God we do not receive our just fruits. Instead, we inherit our birthright of Freedom from Divine Providence. Our Freedoms are preserved by those who selflessly give and sacrifice the same providence.—Bruce Bell
Godspeed, USS New York.
I was so busy searching for a job today, that I almost missed the declaration of “National day of service and remembrance” by the ME-ssiah. At first glance, this sounds like a great way to “give back.” But, when you get past the shallow statement and dig into the content of this bellowing, a different presentation emerges.
In this national day, why does the word “service” come before “remembrance?” What are the priorities of this event? It appears that remembrance is an after thought only preceded by the word, “and.” Service to the community is now more important than memorializing those who voluntarily and involuntarily lost their lives in an act of terror.
If I wanted to give service on 9/11 then it would directly benefit those affected by that infamous day. Why not do something like send the parentless children on a trip somewhere in America. They could visit and experience another part of this country that their parents died for. Send the kids to ride a trolley in San Francisco, see the Grand Canyon or ski on the mountain slopes of Salt Lake City, Utah!
The purpose this “service” is to distract away from the real purpose of the event. If we are so busy doing something unrelated to the event, it will become easier to forget about 9/11. In a few years 9/11 will become a community day instead of a memorial event.
Folks, 9/11 is not about all of us. It is about those victimized by the event. The Democrats and Obama Administration need to stop trying to minimize the personal aspect of this event by making it about “everyone.” This event is personal and should never be forgotten or reengineered into something else that history will not recognize.
