anarchy.jpgIn an earlier post, I outlined my political transformation from Liberal to Conservative. For me, Bill Clinton was my Obama in the 1990s. The “Hope and Change” doctrine was much of the same socialistic ambitions presented today. Young, foolish and inexperienced in life, I thought help from the government was harmless.

Time proved my assumptions to be wrong. The booming economy that was constantly being reported during the Clinton years was harder to realize. As I worked my way up, I saw my taxes move likewise. As I earned, the government took. I was making my way, and taxes were taking that away.

Another rude awakening for me was the bias of the media. Clinton was paraded, pampered and pimped into something he was not. The tolerance of his flaws by the press was unbearable. In comparison, no one in the workforce could have acted like Clinton and kept their job. The standards were different for the king.

Character counts down here in the bowels of America. For government and the media, character is someone in a movie – not an attribute of a President.

So, here we are today. Millions fell for the same lying mantra of government. Now we have a hollow statue of a man with charm and a boisterous voice. With this oracle, we have a plethora of deceit and lies being revealed. Obama is engaged in a troop surge after disagreeing with Bush on the same approach. Obama promised no lobbyists, but signed legislation with sweat stains of special interest. He complained about the deficit under Bush and “inheriting” a mess, yet has made that deficit even larger and even more jobs have been lost. He continues to support paying a financial success penalty to smaller nations based on science that is a complete hoax. The stimulus money was supposed to lower unemployment, yet has proven to be a mismanaged pile of debt that has not helped the job market. Health care reform was to be a community forum, yet evolves behind closed doors in Washington. On and on…

My question is, when will the young folks who hoped for change going to realize they have been hoodwinked? Luckily, empty pockets and empty stomachs have a way of turning pawns into Patriots.
