The infamous “Kobayashi Maru” is the classic no-win scenario situation in the Star Trek world.  The real world parallel is the power that Sarah Palin now has over her political fate.  The media is facing a lose-lose situation dealing with Palin, and they know it.

Palin’s first book “Going Rogue: An American Life” has already ranked #1 in sales on Barnes and Noble and #1 on Amazon.  This is after a few days of being on sale for pre-order.  The response will be so big that it will be difficult to discard Palin as a Republican political fad.  The publisher, Harper knows the response will be big.  That is why they are delaying the audio book’s release a month after the hard cover version.  The publisher is looking to cash in on hard cover sales.  I would not be surprised if the total sales of this book rival that of Obama’s “Nightmares of My Father” in a very short time.

The government media will not be able to ignore the book like they did with Mark Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto”.  Palin is an electrical figure that the press will love to hate.  Unfortunately for the press, they are in their own isolated world that has little to do with grassroots America.  People will read this book and fall in love.

Herein lies the problem for the left-wing media.  People like Palin.  These people will not like the obvious effort by the press to demean and slander her.  This time, Palin is controlling her own press and getting her word out in a positive way.  She is not letting the press be her voice.  Instead, they will be backbenchers chasing her around trying to create trouble.  The press will not be able to win or outflank her because they are in a defensive position.  Palin will play offense and control her own destiny.  That is a classic American story that many will love.

–PS. Liberals have already murmured rumors that Palin did not write her own book.  That sounds like a familiar argument accusing Palin of being a fraud like their fearful leader-Barack Obama.  Yes, more evidence is emerging that Obama was not the author of that book he wrote.

When Toy Story 3 eventually comes out, this poor doll made by “American Girl” will surely be in the cast of toy misfits.  After all, only snotty little rich kids would want a doll that replicates a homeless child and costs $95.  When the kids get tired of feeling sorry for them, they will find another toy to victimize (play with).  Like their liberal parents, sympathy will only entertain for a short time until a better dependant is found.  Then the doll will really be homeless – rotting in a landfill somewhere.

The real name of the doll is Gwen Thompson.  The story line behind the doll is a nightmare and reads like an episode of Gangland.  Contrary to popular belief, this doll is not another love-child of John Edwards.  At least as far as we know.

In reality, the people behind Gwen are sick and twisted.  They are setting up a generation of children to feel guilty for their good fortune.  The other indirect lesson from this street doll is that everyone is a victim, and that someone is to blame.  In this case, the father is the bad guy.  I wonder how many good providing fathers bought this piece of art for their kids?

Most importantly, toys such as this stifle the imagination.  Child toys should be a smaller representation of the world around us – without circumstance.  This way, children can learn about what they see in the world in a way they understand.  When you put a doll with a history in front of a child – that ruins it.  A child should make up the doll’s story as they play with it.  That is what we call fun.

Stephanopolis whipped out the dictionary to prove to Obama that any fee imposed on the people by government is a tax. Obama said pulling out the dictionary is a sign that he was stretching the definition of the word.

First of all, the word tax is not in a democrats vocabulary. To them it is an act of patriotism.

I am waiting for the race baiters to claim that the dictionary is a white mans book. Why else would a white guy on TV put it in Obamas face?

What more can a “post-racial” President need than an old Southern President claiming that whites hate Obama because he is black.  Those with knowledge of Carter’s history know that he has been an advocate for fair treatment of blacks in the old-south since the sixties.  Unfortunately, Carter is stuck in the 1960’s.

First of all, the claim can only be partially true, since Obama is 1/2 black and 1/2 white.  So, if whites hate the black half of Obama, is it fair to say that blacks hate the white half of Obama?  Seems logical.

Critics of Carter have called for Obama to make a race speech acknowledging that he does not believe his critics are racists.  That will never happen.  To give spoken acknowledgement of tea party protestors and health care reform opponents would give them credibility in his mind.  He will not mention these opponents unless it is put in his face.

Obama is an artful dodger.  He is going to let the arguments occur “below” his level while appearing to rise above the politics of race.  This will be Obama’s trademark.  Liberals will hail him as so glorious that the President will not bother with such trivial matters.

Carter said it out loud.  But, there is no proof that Obama feels differently from Carter.  He has played the race card himself, and may have slid into the White House on the precipice of white guilt.

Finally, the Obama Administration feeds on crisis.  Nothing beats conflicts about jobs, money, healthcare – and now race.  What better way for Obama to gain street credibility than to step into a crisis and appear to solve it.  We might be headed right back to 1960’s riots over race.  Obama and the Democrats are counting on it.

Asking Obama to utilize skills of Lyndon B Johnson is like asking Steven Segal to be like Rambo.  Both have their own techniques and both just as deadly.  History will reveal a cold-hearted Chicago-thug administration with a trail of damage.

The problem for Obama is that being a LBJ will not work.  Americans have forty years of exposure and experience with government intervention in our healthcare.  And they are sick of it.  Frankly, Americans are barely holding on to what is left of their healthcare.  The government blames the “evil” insurance companies for the high cost of healthcare.  But, it is government interference that has resulted in escalating costs of healthcare.  Despite what many elitist Democrats think, Americans are not stupid.  They know that when government steps into a situation, the costs go up and delivery goes down.

The only people who want government to control healthcare are those who think they benefit from such policies.  But, educated Americans see the government-run programs of other countries around the world and want nothing of it. 

The protests from Americans are scaring the congress into a stunned submission.  Obama may be able to threaten folks like LBJ.  But any congressman worth his/her salt knows that a vote for government-run healthcare will be a free trip to the unemployment line.  Unfortunately, Obama will not be able to claim that he saved those jobs.
