If Obama and the Liberal Congress are successful in passing healthcare reform this year, then a major campaign slogan for 2012 will be: “It’s our healthcare, stupid.” Obama has sent the smoke signals to those in the beltway – pass healthcare reform now or never. Mr. President knows very well that they want to impose the reform before the American people catch on to what is happening. He does have the political capital at this time to get just about anything passed. But, next year will be much different.
The future of the Congress in 2010 appears to be a shady prospect in Obama’s eyes, too. The messiah will never get healthcare reform passed if more Republicans take seats in the Congress in 2010.
Despite the positive spin about the economy by the press, there will be no real gains in the economy, the bailout will be revealed to be a faux pas, and new taxes will kick in. Americans will be mad and 2010 will bring change all over again. The monopoly money injected into the economy will cause inflation the highest we have ever seen.
Changes made now to the healthcare industry and the taxes to pay for it will not be felt fully until late 2010 and early 2011, putting a reelection campaign a tough sell. Obama has already put our country in so much debt that future bailouts to cover-up bad government programs will be less likely. Even China is seeing the writing on the wall, warning us to stop printing money.
The biggest problem will be the “fixes” that Obama has in store for the healthcare industry. Our healthcare is the envy of the world. That will change when highly skilled American physicians make a mass exodus out of the industry and hospitals reduce staff and services in an effort to comply with government regulations. Lower-paid and overworked physicians will face a wall of demand that cannot be served.
Remember, Obama was elected after promising a tax cut for 95% of America. But, when things get worse he will not have the political capital to fix it. We will all be suffering by then and the American people will catch on to the bait-and-switch.
With most of the Supreme Court Justices close to retirement or a dirt nap, the current president and congress will try to load the court with statist idealists. The President and Congress know very well that if the American people figure out their socialistic agenda, then they will be voted out in two to four years. A change in leadership in the Congress could stop and even reverse the actions taken to undermine our personal Freedoms.
The most powerful and successful means to cement the statist agenda into the American fabric is done through the Judicial Branch of our Federal Government.
If Obama can stack the Judicial Branch with those who use their own personal prejudices to confirm what is defined as law, then the statists can prevent the advancement of any opposing perspective. Then, the Judicial Branch of our government will become the Prejudicial Branch of our government where any opposition to the state will be struck down with the slam of a gavel.
Words of Prejudice:
“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.” — Judge Sonia Sotomayor
The “Whole-Body Imaging” machines being used in airports around the country by the TSA is one of the most privacy-invading and threatening element of the Federal Government in use today. This system seems to work real good in assisting those TSA screeners in finding the very bad among us. The problem is, it scans and shows everything! Most of us are used to scans using CT, MRI and X-ray machines. We accept that loss of privacy because we trust the medical community to keep that information private and secure, and use it for medical treatment only.
But, most of us realize that we can’t trust a government agency to protect our privacy in such a scanner. Even though the data is not “saved” at this time, it very well could be at some point. Then software could be used to add human flesh to one of the images and a new type of pornography is born. There could be a whole industry created that supplies the public with airport nudie scans. Ironically, it is public officials and the famous who would be victimized by this first. How hot would an airport scan of Britney Spears be on the internet? Very hot.
I would rather strip down to my underwear before getting scanned. I would have to tell those TSA screeners to call me “Dick” because that’s the only weapon they would find on me.
White House budget director Peter Orszag claims that the economy is on its way up. Using government logic he sees “…glimmers of sun shining through the trees…” What he really means is the government has printed enough money for now. The real reason he can see through the trees is because they are being cut down to print fiat paper money. I expect to hear more and more positive economic news as the Obama administration attempts to classically condition Americans to go shopping.
Recently, I took the dive and upgraded my beloved Blackjack 2 from Windows Mobile 6.0 to 6.1. Overall, I am very pleased. The phone seems more stable, with less frozen episodes requiring a hard reboot. The applications run faster, too.
The greatest thing I love about the upgrade is the screen display. The display is much more attractive and clearer to read.
The main problem is the PDA battery life has taken a drastic blow. It can no longer last for at least two days on a single charge. Now, it has been reduced to less than eight hours of active use. So, I get a better experience for a shorter amount of time. Lots of things in life seem to evolve that way.
Anyone else out there having the same problem? With the phone, that is.
